What is Express Entry and how does it work from Tunisia?

Express Entry is not itself an immigration program it's the online system IRCC uses to manage applications for three federal economic programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Candidates create a profile, are ranked by Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, and the highest-ranked candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in regular draws. For Tunisian applicants without prior Canadian work experience, FSW is almost always the relevant entry point it's the only one of the three that doesn't require time already spent working in Canada.

How is the 67-point FSW grid different from your CRS score?

Before your CRS score matters at all, you first need 67 out of 100 points on the FSW selection grid to be eligible to enter the pool. This is a pass/fail eligibility check, not the ranking score used in draws.

IELTS General or CELPIP scores across all four abilities: reading, writing, listening, speaking.
Education (25 pts max)
Requires an ECA. A Tunisian bachelor's degree assessed as equivalent typically earns 21–23 points; a master's or PhD scores higher.
Work experience (15 pts max)
Skilled work experience (NOC TEER 0–3) in the last 10 years, in Tunisia or elsewhere.
Age (12 pts max)
Maximum points between ages 18–35, decreasing gradually after that.
Arranged employment (10 pts)
A valid, qualifying job offer from a Canadian employer not required, but adds points if held.
