For Beninese applicants without prior Canadian work experience, FSW is almost always the relevant entry point. French-language category-based draws are a genuinely direct route here, not a secondary strategy French is the language of Beninese government, education, and formal business.
French-language category-based draws
IRCC runs category-based Express Entry draws targeting candidates with strong French proficiency, typically measured by TEF Canada or TCF Canada results at NCLC 7 or higher across all four abilities. These draws have historically had meaningfully lower CRS cutoffs than general draws for a Beninese applicant with solid French test scores, this is often the fastest realistic path to an ITA.

Education (25 pts max)
Requires an ECA. A Beninese bachelor's degree typically scores in the low-to-mid 20s.
Work experience (15 pts max)

Age (12 pts max)
Maximum points between ages 18–35, decreasing gradually after that.
Arranged employment (10 pts)
A valid, qualifying Canadian job offer not required, but adds points if held.
Adaptability (10 pts max)
