For Sudanese applicants, FSW is generally the relevant entry point. Creating a profile and being ranked doesn't require any in-person step at all it's the later stages, after an ITA, where current embassy logistics matter.

What the Khartoum suspension actually changes

Creating a profile, being ranked, and receiving an ITA all happen online and are unaffected by embassy status. What does need planning: biometrics, which must be completed at an operating VAC often in a third country given the current situation. We work through this specifically with each applicant based on their current location.

FAQ

Express Entry from Sudan questions answered

Can I still create an Express Entry profile if the Khartoum embassy is suspended?
+
Yes. Express Entry profiles are created and managed entirely online through IRCC's system embassy status doesn't affect this step. The suspended Khartoum embassy affects in-person steps like biometrics, which are coordinated separately.
Do I need a job offer?
+
No. Federal Skilled Worker eligibility does not require a job offer, though holding one adds CRS points.
How long does an ECA take?
+
A WES or ICAS assessment typically takes 6 to 10 weeks, and can take longer currently given disruptions to institutional record access in some parts of Sudan start this process as early as possible.
What CRS score do I need?
+
There's no fixed minimum you need a score at or above the cutoff in the draw you're competing in. Recent general draws have ranged roughly 480-545.
What language test should I take?
+
IELTS General Training or CELPIP, since there's no Arabic-language stream for Express Entry. Test centres may need to be accessed from outside Sudan depending on your current location.
Where do I complete biometrics?
+
Given the suspended Khartoum embassy, biometrics generally need to be completed at a VAC in another country. We help identify the most practical option based on your current location during your consultation.
