Why it exists
The final mile problem - getting data into IRCC
You've uploaded your documents, AI has filled your forms, your consultant has approved everything. Then you sit down to manually copy 47 fields into the IRCC portal. This is where errors happen.

The IRCC online application portal requires re-entering every value that you and AI

How the extension works
Four steps from consultant approval to IRCC confirmation number. The extension handles the mechanical work - you remain in control at every stage.

Install & sign in
Download from the Chrome Web Store (or Edge Add-ons). Sign in with your GetNorthPath
client account. The extension reads your application from your portal.

Consultant approves your application
Your case manager reviews and approves every document and form field. The extension only
activates after approval - you cannot submit unapproved data.

Navigate to IRCC portal
Log in to ircc.canada.ca and open your in-progress application. The extension detects the
active IRCC form and shows the "Ready to submit" popup.

One click - review & submit
Click "Fill & Submit." The extension populates all fields in 3–5 seconds. Review the
filled form, then click IRCC's own Submit button to confirm.

The extension fills fields - it does not click the IRCC Submit button. You read the
populated form and click Submit yourself. This ensures you review everything before it goes to IRCC. The
extension is a filler, not an autonomous submitter.
Zero data stored in your browser
The extension fetches approved data from GetNorthPath's secure API in real time - only
when you click Fill. Nothing is cached in localStorage, browser storage, or cookies. When you close the
tab, nothing persists.
Consultant-approval gate
The extension checks your application's approval status before activating. If your
consultant has not approved your application, the popup shows "Pending review - not yet approved" and
the Fill button is disabled.

All fields in all sections of your IRCC application - personal details, education,
employment, language scores, financial data, travel history - populated simultaneously from your approved

Automatic date format conversion
IRCC uses DD/MM/YYYY in some forms and YYYY-MM-DD in others. The extension detects the
form type and converts all dates to the correct format automatically - a common source of manual errors.
Handles dropdowns, radio buttons, checkboxes
It's not just text fields. The extension correctly selects dropdown values (country
names, marital status, NOC code), radio buttons (yes/no declarations), and checkboxes across every IRCC form
section.
Dependant profiles - all at once
For applications with a spouse or dependent children, the extension fills all dependant
profiles in one click - switching between family member sections automatically without losing your place in
the form.
Highlights all auto-filled fields
Every field filled by the extension is highlighted in a subtle green border so you can

Supports multi-session applications
IRCC applications are often completed across multiple sessions. The extension detects
where you left off and fills only the remaining sections - it won't overwrite fields you've already
submitted to IRCC.

Study Permit (IMM 1294), Work Permit (IMM 1295, IMM 5710), PR applications (IMM 0008,
IMM 5444), Family Information (IMM 5645), Schedule A (IMM 5669), Travel History (IMM 5562), and all
supplementary forms.
Field mismatch alerts
If the extension detects that a field on the IRCC portal has changed (e.g. IRCC updated
a form) or a value looks inconsistent with the portal's validation, it flags it with a yellow warning
instead of filling silently.
Session timeout protection
The IRCC portal times out after 20 minutes of inactivity - losing all your entered
data. The extension monitors session activity and prompts you 2 minutes before timeout so you can save your
progress.

Read-only IRCC access
The extension can only fill fields on pages you already have open. It cannot access IRCC on
your behalf or do anything without you present.
No data stored in browser · Nothing in localStorage, cookies, or browser storage. Data is

Frequently asked questions
Is the extension free?

Yes. The Chrome Extension is included with every GetNorthPath service at no additional
charge. The $299 CAD flat fee covers your entire application - from consultation to IRCC submission, including
the extension. You cannot purchase the extension separately as it requires an active GetNorthPath application
to function.
Can I edit the fields after the extension fills them?

Yes, absolutely. After the extension fills all fields, you can edit any value directly in the
IRCC portal before submitting. The extension highlights all auto-filled fields in green so you can easily
identify and review them. If you make changes, the extension logs that a field was manually modified - your
consultant is notified automatically.
What if IRCC changes their portal and the extension breaks?

GetNorthPath monitors the IRCC portal continuously. When IRCC updates their forms or portal
structure, we push a compatibility update within 24–48 hours. Chrome automatically updates extensions, so you
always have the latest version. If a compatibility issue is detected during filling, the extension flags the
affected fields instead of filling them incorrectly.
Does the extension actually click Submit for me?

No - and this is intentional. The extension fills all form fields and highlights them for
your review. The final Submit button is IRCC's own - you click it yourself after reviewing the filled form.
This is an important safeguard: you are the person who submits to IRCC, not GetNorthPath. It also means you
can review the filled form, make any final corrections, and submit with confidence.
What does the extension do with my data?

The extension fetches your approved application data from GetNorthPath's secure API at the
moment you click Fill. It uses this data to populate the IRCC form fields in your browser. After filling, the
data is discarded - nothing is written to localStorage, cookies, session storage, or any browser-persistent
storage. The extension does not transmit any data entered into the IRCC portal to GetNorthPath - it only reads
from GetNorthPath's API, it does not write back to it from the IRCC portal.
What happens if my internet connection drops mid-fill?

If your connection drops during the fill process, the extension stops filling and alerts you
with a "Connection interrupted" message. Any fields that were filled before the interruption remain filled.
You can re-click Fill once your connection is restored - the extension detects already-filled fields and skips
them, only filling the remaining empty fields. Your IRCC session is not affected by the extension's connection
issues.
